| Mike Tyson
Does anyone know the status of Mike Tyson's MMA career. I remember some hype about a possible fight between Bob Sapp and Tyson. Also, what happened to Shannon Briggs' MMA career.

bob sapp is on the verge of retirement, but if tyson were to fight him i'm pretty sure sapp would beat him. i'm so unimpressed with tyson these last few years though, i don't even know if i would be interested in seeing him fight. also, tyson retired from boxing so i doubt he'll be doing mma.

so i just did some reading up on tyson and when he retired it was because he said he didn't "have the fighting guts or the heart anymore." but i guess he's working as a referee in British MMA promotion WCFC. still think "Big John" is more intimidating.

Tyson would kill Sapp if Sapp tried to throw Hands..lol...gimme a break Sapp is a joke.Tyson is to old to get into mma at this point and would lose against anyone thats willing to take him down. That being said if Tim Sylvia was dumb enough to stand and trade he'd get KTFO...and that fight in itself would kind of "delegitamize" (as Tyson might say..lol..)the UFC completely because of how low in the rankings in boxing Tyson is.

mike tyson used to be the man, it killed me to see the fights with holyfield, he was so dominate, i think that he was still better then holyfield but holyfield was like his cryptonite, if he did start mma, he should be a very very feared stirker, but on the ground i dont know, iv seen world champion strikers, like muy thai and k-1 iska and stuff get taken down and tapp in under a minnute, striking isnt enough in mordern day ufc, ufc used to be like boxing vs. bjj or kick boxing vs. judo, but now a days you have to be well rounded so even though mike is an excellent striker, if he doesnt learn any submissions, ground skills, or wrestling i dont see him excelling at any time.

Kevin McBride,Danny Williams, and Buster Douglas are 3 nobodies that beat and humiliated Mike Tyson.

When Tyson reffed the WCFC a few months back he said that there was no way he'd step into the ring/cage with these guys (mma fighters).
He knows that these are professional fighters & not a throwback to the UFC1 days when boxers fought Joe Son Do artists (still laugh at that!). Also his refereeing showed that he had little knowledge of mma, so I can't see him ever fighting at mma.
I've said it before, but it still amazes me that people bring up retired boxers names when talking of potential mma fighters. The sports are chalk & cheese, you may as well ask when Dennis Rodman is gonna make his mma debut.

Tyson would get his ass kicked! He has been dominated by the bigger fighter since Buster Douglas!!
