| Rashaad Evans
Alright I know alot of you guys don't like this kid but I don't get it. I know you think his fight are kinda boring because he's a wrestler but come on he's still kinda new to this so I think his other skills will come around very soon. I also kinda of enjoyed watching him throw Bonnar around like a rag doll. I think this guy will be pretty good if he gets with the right people. I would enjoy hearing any responses or thoughts on this.

I agree, the potential is there for him to become better (ie. more entertaining). But the problem is, you can say that about just about anyone. I think we can only judge a fighter based on what they've shown us in the ring. So far, Rashad hasn't shown us much. His last five official fights have gone to decision, and of those, only two were unanimous decisions. His TUF2 performances all went to decision. If I had to guess, I'd say he'll never finish his fights. It's only a matter of time before he works his way up the ladder, and then he's going to fight someone that will finish *him*. And then after that, no one will want to watch Rashad Evans anymore.
I don't wish this on any fighter. These guys deserve a lot of respect for how hard they train, and then how hard they fight in the ring. I wish all fighters were exciting. But they're not. Rashad is one of the worst.
To his credit, I think he did show a lot of improvement in the last fight, especially with those slams. But he's got a lot of making up to do. You know, I think the guy could earn a lot of respect by fighting someone like Forrest Griffin or Tito Ortiz, who is going to make him work to stay alive. One of his biggest problems is that he's only really fought guys that aren't finishers.

I don't hate Evans. I respect his record and him as a fighter but i don't look forward to his fights because he doesn't try to stop his opponents, he doesn't go that extra yard to impress or excite fans whereas someone like the latest TUF winner Michael Bisbing goes into the octagon looking to knockout or submit his opponent. He definitely needs to work on finishing otherwise he'll never headline PPVs

See I agree that right now he doesn't know how to finish but if he got the right trainers and started to learn some ground and pound he could become very explosive.

He's starting his career like every other wrestler, taking people down and not really knowing what to do when he gets there. His standup is underrated imo. I like Rashad and i'm positive he'll develop and when he does look out 205.

i feel that Rahad has the physical tools to be a very good fighter. i don't know if he'll ever be great, but that said i see the potential. he really needs to work on his gnp once he gets that he will be able to fight guys like forrest, bisbing, and tito

Rashad has the tools and the drive to be at the top of the LHW weight class.
I hate watching his matches. I thought that he was overrated, however my mind has been changed after the last fight with Bonnar. He DOMINATED Bonnar.
He needs to get with a better fight team IMO. If he were to jump to Miletich, ATT, or even work a bit with AKA, I think that the skills he could learn would benefit him greatly.
If he wants to be taken seriously, he needs to either get some good subs, or some good striking skills.
I think that with his strength, he should be able to develop good KO power. He should also be able to pull off some good subs as well seeing how often he gets people on their backs. If he were to press to work a Kimura or even a rear naked choke, I think he may go further.
I would love to see Rashad aquire these skills due to how explosive he is as a wrestler. If you were to package that explosiveness with some finishing skills, you would definitely be looking at a main-eventer/money maker for the UFC.

I would love to see him get with Miletich but I don't see that happening since Rich Franklin has started working with them and he didn't like Rashaad from the minute he saw him for some reason.

I thought it was Hughes that didn't like Evans.
The issue on TUF was that his conditioning was pretty poor, and I think the coaches and Dana White thought he lacked heart.

Jorge Gurgel trains up there too.
