| Franklin's workout
Hrm... I've always been advised to use free weights as much as possible in preference to machines (in order to workout synergists/stabilisers etc)
Rich Franklin seems to do a lot of machine work in this video, and it must be pretty darn effective: http://www.dailymotion.com/relevance...c/video/352261
any ideas why?

seriously though machines and free weights are about the same it's all about personal preference.I like Free weights ,but machines are cool too.

you can build more muscle with machines, u dont have to stabilize the weight and u can lift more, i can bench 320 on a smith machine but cannot do it with free weights because u have to stabilize it, its like that with most exersizes.
