But I think Monson has more experience, a better all-round game and the advantage of being really powerful. Not taking anything away from Vera but i think Monson would be to much for him in the end. Would be a great fight to see though!!

I would love to see Monson put Sylvia to sleep, but I just don't see it happening, there is almost a full foot in terms of height advantage(he might short enough to duck punches but Sylvia can kick, Just ask Tra T.), and Sylvia is hard to take down... However, if Monson can get Sylvia on the ground there is no chance that Sylvia's guard is good enough to hold off one of the best submission fighters in the world.
As far as Vera goes, I would like to see him fight the likes of a Frank Mir or perhaps Marcio Cruz. I think he needs to fight someone with world class ground skills

My feeling is that Thompson would overpower and destroy him, but after the loss to Ironhead, I dunno.

i would really like to see Vera a little more before i call him unbeatable. i think it is a little shortsighted to say that he would destroy monson

I think he needs to fight someone with world class ground skills | I reckon a Silvia/Monson fight would go Monsons way because Tim is so bad on the ground. Monson has a hard head and would probably be able to weather the storm long enough to get him down. Also his striking isn't to bad.
As for Vera, I think he would absolutely murder Mir. Mir's form has been laughable since his return. Yep, the bike accident would definately have a huge part in his lack of form but still....he's a shadow of the fighter he was. Hopefully he can pull it together soon. When he was fit he was an awesome fighter to watch.
I reckon Marcio Cruz is probably next on Vera's hit-list, but Cruz has been improving quickly as we saw with his thrashing of Mir. I'd have to go Vera's way if that fight ever happened though, he definately has the stand-up advantage.
