It's a shame the only weight BJ Penn can't fight at is heavy weight, because that's where the UFC really needs someone as badass as he is...
As for this thread, Stevenson's victory over Edwards was impressive, but in some off chance he beat Sherk I don't know how much I like a former TUFer being a coach... That and I'm completely biased towards King Fisher and would rather seen him fight Sherk.

I don't understand why a guy who has never fought at Lw is the mandatory contender.
Sherk should have to qualify just as everyone else has to.
Pulver's been cack recently at Pride, but I can see why people have his name up (seeing as he is surely still the champ, no-one won it from him or has held the belt since he left!).
Stevenson should be first choice as he beat (IMO) one of the best LW the UFC has in Edwards. TUFer or not.
So if I had my way it'd be Pulver Vs Stevenson as first fight for the re-introduced title.

and as for BJ he is staying at welterweight and fighting the winner of GSP and hughes isn't he??

If Penn drops he will own the LW division. NOONE there can handle him. That being said Pulver V Penn for the LW title. then it is a mad dash to see who Penn beats on next.
Thing is Penn knows he will dominate that division so why bother. He loses focus when he doesnt think there is a challenge. Penn needs to stay at WW or move to MW. He will do fine where ever he goes and be a contender in whichever division he wants to fight in. Personally i would like to see him be the first to hold belts simultaneously in two divisions. LW, WW then challenge ACE. Course ace wins that one.
