What do you guys think that they are going to do now about the lgihtweight title. Florian said he would love a shot but needs more itme to train....so will they go ahead with sherk fighting someone at 62 for the belt or will they leave the title oput of it for a while longer
maybe they have sherk fight someone but not for the title......what are your thoughts though...as another famous matt once said DISCUSS!!!

well i know they were pretty much set on sherk and florian, and then pulver came back so maybe now they don't need florian for a legitimate title match. i hope they do something soon though because the lightweights have been in limbo for a while.

i think if they have the LW fight at ufc 62, it would be hominick facing sherk.

Wasn't Florian afraid to fight Sherk or something? And Hominick barely out-kickboxed a jui-jitsu guy, so he's a no. Yves, though I like him, can't seem to beat anyone in the UFC these days. I'd say Sherk vs. Stevenson would be a legitimate title match. Pulver could then be someone's first title defense.

lol! I think his nickname should be changed from "kenflo" to "peterpuffer". And taking nothing away from Pulver, cause he's awesome, I just think stylistically, Stevenson-Sherk would be a great brawl.

as for the opponent, I don't think stevenson should get the shot....maybe hominick but if he won would he really make a great coach....I think penn should drop down because him and pulver as coaches would be sick....maybe fisher gets the shot

I dont think they would have a tournament in the UFC lightweight or not, i think the best match up for the lightweight would be stevenson and sherk, then have Pulver fight the first title defense, i really dont think florian is ready for sherk i think he would jus get dominated on the ground but stevenson could hold his own with sherk, even Bj Penn could do some damage in that division if he dropped down. Im really looking forward to seeing more LW's in the UFC
