| Serra/Hughes
So I heard on an interview that Serra and Hughes are having a title fighter after TUF 6. That show is set to start filming June 7th I believe, and will air sometime in the fall. I'm not sure how many weeks a typical TUF season is, I'm not a big fan. But does this mean that we shouldn't expect a WW title defense until 2008?
It seems like a long time for Serra to have that belt without defending it.
Imho, the welterweight division should be the most active, in addition to the heavyweight division for title defenses.

it takes 6 weeks to film a tuf series, and serra will defend this year for sure, but only once.

Hughes' title to take back. Not that Serra is a punk, it's just that Matt is getting exactly the matchup he wants.

I think so, too. Too much marketing has hurt him up until now. His absence from the spotlight can't do anything but help "humble" his image.

Hughes will be loved more than ever after Dana works his marketing genius on TUF 6. |
i competley agree... all reality shows are all editing... they will show all of hughes's great moments and all of serra's bad moments so hughes will be the fan favorite come fight time so he will be the fans savior if/when he wins

Dana's got his work cut out for him to convince me.

Yeah I think they are holding this off way too long, it is bad business and marketting to hold off defending the WW title that long when they could make more money and see more title fights if they did this sooner. I mean Hughes and Serra coaching TUF6 is an ok idea but most are prob pissed having to wait till TUF6 finale to see the WW title defended again.
