Nick Diaz is rumored to be fighting John Alessio at the Stockton Arena on August 12th at the Warriors Cup.

I saw the poster for this event. It just had a big picture of Diaz on it. That's cool they got Alessio for him if the rumor is true. Nick's little brother Nathan is also on the card in a LW bout vs Dennis Davis.

Nice...good match up...but I like both guys so tough one to pick...I though alessio would still be in the UFC though

Me too. We sponsored him for three fights in UFC, so I hope this is just an outside fight or something he's allowed to take. Not really sure how that works.

Diaz fought someone else back in May, so if Diaz wins this then he could be back in UFC with 2 wins outside of UFC. He is definitely someone that people look forward to seeing fight, so no reason that UFC wouldn't be interested in bringing him back.

He needs to push this fight though. His last two UFC fights were kind of boring and he didnt really push the fight (just tried to counter). But he's still young, so I'm sure he has a long fight career ahead of him.
