Swick has a punchers chance against Louiseau. It's not a fore gone conclusion that Louiseau would dominate. If Swick can take out the Crow then the argument would be over as far as I'm concerned, Swick would be considered an upper echelon fighter in the UFC Middleweight Division.

Im sorry but this is just how i feel. that sounds crazy. not taking away from silva a bit, but why should everybody else have to jump through "hoops" and he should just get a title shot after one fight. true he is a great fighter and he prob will make it there anyway, but he should have "TO MAKE IT THERE" (work hes was up) first. How many other ufc fighters have gotten a title shot after on ufc fight?

See i don't see any guys that are due for a title shot , let me ask you whut did Marquardt due to earn a title shot ...let see Salaverry well theirs the steriod situtaion their and it was one of the most lackluster fights i saw in sometime. then he went on to decison Doerksen and neither of these fighters are considered top ten fighters .
Anderson Sliva is a established fighter and is considered on of the best at his weight in the world . hes beat every UFC fighter hes ever fought and kinda takes pride in that statment . But that was all outside outside of the ufc and wouldn't have to much standing within the ufc . Although his ko over leban was impressive its not enough for a title shot in my opinion .
Since we say silva , we should also consider Lister , he is one of the most accomplished grapplers in the world and has a farily imprssive win also..
out of these three i would say Nate would/should get it and thats only cuz he fought twice with 2 wins

I like the two fighters he went up against, however, he didn't outright beat either one of them. I think a very clean win over an Evan Tanner, Jeremy Horn, or David Louisou and then we can start thinking about him as a true contender.
I believe the next shot should be given to Anderson Silva with Mike Swick waiting in the wings if he beats Louisou.
The true number one contender in my mind is Jeremy Horn, but we all know him and Franklin will not get it on. | Horn has left the UFC but I understand your point but does Franklin have to wait till there is someone to fight for a whole year.

Swick deserves a shot over Marquardt...Marquardt does not deserve a shot! I've said it before, and i'll say it again...if he can beat Terrell, Silva, The Crow, or Swick then he deserves a shot. He needs one more fight. People need to stop putting his name in the runnings. With that said, Marquardt vs. Silva and Swick vs. The Crow need to happen!!!
