These are some pictures of my 2nd submission fight in Rochester, MI. The match went extremely well...and it came out as a draw due to the fact that they dont score the matches here (amateur)....but it def would have been a win for me with regular scoring....my plan was to work a very aggressive guard (bottom game)..and set up submissions from there...I had a couple of triangles nearly locked up, was able to sweep him, choke attempts, and a nasty wristlock (of doom) sunk that collapsed his hand to his forearm (definate ligament damage...still..no tap.. (people are stupid in amatuer fights...you almost have to choke them out to surpass their egos)...but it went extremely well!!!....next event...NAGA OHIO tournament!!! cant wait!!

and also check out the pic labeled fist choke....I have a fist in his neck...and other arm wrapped around his head (not guillotine wrap..other way) causing the pressure for the choke, leg up to get more power......if your fighting low level....try it out....ive put out a couple people with it.....its easy to defend but occasionally worth a shot....at least it may be an annoyance and possibly cause a slip up....until you regain guard

Sounds like you did pretty well. Congratulations. That sucks they don't have scoring I have never heared of that before. Anyway, good luck at the Naga Ohio tourney my man!

Why there isnt any scoring I couldn't really tell you.....
This took place at Superkicks for america...Rochester, MI....
there are usually just a couple of submission matches, then 10 er so MMA fights...(which they dont score either)..lol...i dunno....

Its just the only place around for grappling that I have found....and its still an hour and 15 minutes away from me in Monroe, MI....lol.....there is nothing in my area whatsoever....it sucks...

I remeber reading the SW rules for matches here in Sweden and they had a pretty extensive scoring system:

Why not adapt those (exepting the "no neck-cranks")?

That would be awesome......the place is run by an old kickboxing champion kerry roop... he is the ref for all the fights and he runs the joint.......
Why he doesnt hire judges I do not know.....
the rules for submission matches are....

no heelhooks....and the obvious eye gouging..etc.

thats about it....there is slamming and whatnot....but no point system....wish there was...
fighters pick round length....3 threes...2 fives.....or 1 ten....
mine was 3 threes...
