I had some knee problems for a while, and wore knee pads for a long time. I started doing some stretching, and it improved how my knees feel quite a bit.

Eddie Bravo's book has some good stretches in them. I more or less stole them, and put them to use for a few months. It helped me quite a bit.

I've been doing basic Yoga stretches for about 6 months and my flexibility is 10x what it used to be. It's helped my BJJ game tremendously.

I had mine for about a week and a half before I went to the doctor. Not good. I didn't realize what it was because the type I had were sores with a crusty scab, that at first looks like any other scab. Combined with the fact that I had mat burn on my elbow made me not question it. I thought it was your typical scab that keeps getting rubbed off. Then after a week of not healing, and new sores popping up, I got worried. Moral is, if you see anything abnormal at all, get it checked right away!! I was lucky, I saw some pictures of the type I had getting out of control and it is gross. I had about 5 spots total, on my arm, hand and arm pit.

Same here. I had no idea what was going on. I just thought I had some out of control pimples. Waited more than a week to see the doctor, which was a bad idea.

It's no fun.

Just was your body after you get home, you should never have to worry about it.

Remember kids, don't be a Lindland and wash yourself after working out!

I mainly used the stretches from Mastering The Rubber Guard by Eddie Bravo (though I hadn't read the book at the time and only found out later that the exact same stretches were in the book). I do the cross leg stretch all the time at practice (and at home) and try to heel-hook myself while chilling out to stretch the knee even more. Check out the book, you'll know what I'm talking about
