| CroCop not retiring, wants to win K-1 GP this year CroCop not retiring, wants to win K-1 GP this year Quote:
According to his management he is “going to try and win the K-1 tournament” this year, in keeping with his lifelong dream.
CroCop met with reporters in his home city of Zagreb yesterday to discuss a March 10 fight with Ray Sefo. The match had originally been billed as a ‘farewell fight’ but CroCop now seems to have had second thoughts about hanging up the gloves.
“I think it is important to say this event is named ‘CroCop: Final Fight’ but that doesn’t mean that this is Mirko’s farewell fight. No way,” his manager Orsat Zovko said.
“Its true he is done with the UFC, he isn’t going to fight in the cage anymore, but plans are to keep him among the elite and try and win the K-1 tournament this year.”
On Thursday, CroCop confirmed in a text message to Fighters Only writer John O'Regan, "I'll try this year - if the K-1 happens."

1) I doubt the K1 GP happens
2) I doubt he makes it to the Final 16.

Unfortunately for Cro Cop he is slowed and has lost as much power as he has desire. I'm not sure why he keeps fighting, he said after the JDS fight that he was tired of fighting and that he thinks about fishing while he's in the cage...guess it's the check, he was getting a pretty hefty one while still in the UFC, and I'm sure he'd get paid well to compete in japan again...

HOSS-Bork, you should spend more time brushing up on your MMA history, and less time complementing guys on how young their penises taste.

No, he would have to face people like Schilt, Sakhi, Badr Hari (If he returns to Kickboxing) and I think he would lose to them.
Mirko 10 years ago would have had a chance, Mirko of 2012 does not.
In MMA he was having troubles in the stand up even against Roy Nelson, and obviously stand up in K-1 is different because you do not have to worry about the takedown, but still. Crocop can beat some fighters in K-1, but not the Top ones.
I would love to see Crocop vs Kharitonov in K-1 rules match.
