hendo would take it, hes wrestling is way better than franklins and franklins bjj isnt good enouth to sub hendo.
it would be interesting however, if they decided to strike. I think they're both equally skilled on their feet, but hendo has more power and a better (and bigger) chin.

hendo has the better wreslting, and the better clinch...
franklin has better stand up and better strike defense and also imo better cardio...there both big 185ers who have been at 205...
if hendo takes rich down and pounds him for a few rounds i see hendo winning a ud...
but if they want to strike i give the edge to rich...hendo has good power and decent hooks but lacks solid combos and likes to put his head down...franklin throws also with good power and speed but imo sets up his punches better and has a wider variety of punches he can trow...
i still take hendo by ud from gnp, takedowns and controll but if rich can stop the takedown or at least get to his feet alot and they trade all fight...then rich could win a stand up battle by ud...
good fight any way it goes...

I think Rich does have better standing, but does not have a better chin and Hendo was standing toe to toe with Rampage and giving him trouble, something I dont think Rich can do.. style-wise Hendo would give Rich trouble anywhere the fight goes, even though Rich has the edge on the feet.. simply because Hendo has very good power, and doesnt just throw hooks and jabs.. he throws every punch.. he threw a hook at Rampage, and then his next punch was an uppercut.. the guy is very versitile.. and he can take Rich down has anyone ever watched like allll of Rich's fights? its hard to find a fight where Rich hasnt been taken down once.. he doesnt have shit for takedown D cuz ive never seen someone constantly take him down.. so he does have good takedown D but its not Chuck Liddell-esqued at all where hes stuffing someone for a whole fight.. so I would say Hendo can take him down and have his way with Rich.

There is a possibility that this match might happen, esp if Rich would lose again to Silva and Dan is looking to drop down in MW division again...this is not an easy one for Hendo though, he is getting older now.

I wouldn't give Rich much of a chance to win other than Dan experiencing spontaneous human combustion. Wrestling, grappling, clinch, strength, and punching power all go to Henderson. They are comparable with their standup skills, but Dan can walk through Ace's power. And I know Rich can't standup to Hendo's punching power. I'd say Dan tko rd. 2 or 3.

i agree rich has better standup but i think hendo takes this to the ground and pounds out a split decision. i'm willing to bet it would be one of the better fights of whatever year it would take place in.
