Vera vs. Cro Cop............who takes it?

You ask me this a year ago, I say Cro-Cop knocks Vera's head off into the stands. Today though, I think its a lot closer. I actually think right now, Vera would beat Cro-Cop in a close fight. I think Vera would be smart and take the fight to the ground, because he would probably still fear Cro-Cop stand-up game. I think Vera subs Cro-Cop in the second with some kind of leg lock.

I may get blasted for this...but I think (and hope that I am wrong) that Tim "swamp thing" Sylvia will beat Brandon Vera, and until now I never really gave too much thought to a CC/Vera fight but, I think Vera will be coming off a loss and CC is obviously facing some difficulties this might actually occur. I hope CC doesnt get too discouraged and continues training with Dean Lister, then a CC/Vera match up could prove to be very exciting perhaps in Feb/March 2008??? But I think CC would still take the fight, hopefully he will by then he will have adjusted to the Cage and will get his sexy back.

I think Vera is not as good as everything thinks he is.. I don't see him getting passed Tim.

I agree. In the past with Cro-Cop's loses he's come back and dominated, but now loosing twice, and his look of utter confusion and looking like he just didn't want to be there, I'd go with Vera.

I totally disagree, I think Tim is one of the most overated fighters in the HW's right now. Besides being 6'8" with those monkey arms and haveing to cut weight to fight at heavy he really doesn't bring much to the table in my opinion, where as Vera so far has shown to be quite well rounded.

Vera is a more well rounded fighter then Mirko and anyone who says he is not is slow in the head.

Yes Mirko has very good stand up but Vera also has good stand up with more tools in his stand up then Mirko, Vera also has wrestling he can fall back on and a bjj game when mirko really has none of that.

Vera would knock out or submit Mirko, an no i am not saying this because of Mirkos last to loses. I have been saying this for a while now.

Tim is annoying, and at times, sloppy.. and we all hate him.. but, ya know.. Couture couldn't put him away. He beat AA twice. Tim is not a complete can.
Tim is Top 10.. he is #10 in my book. But he is top 10. Show me more than 5 rankings that say otherwise.

Vera has a lot to prove to me before I think he is top ten material. Same goes for Gonzaga.

I like them both but i think...Crocop would lose this match again if they fought, Vera can toe to toe againts Crocop on striking but Crocop would be tap or dominated on the ground by Vera...oh yeah! Timmy has no chance too.

I see vera pressing the action like kongo and GG did, which we all know CC hates. by pressing the action cc wont be able to stalk him and effectively strike. Vera outstrikes CC and beats him on the groun winning a decision in this one imo.
