Cung Le is the better wrestler, and he is just as good on his feet it would be a good fight, at this point i'd take A Silva by Sub just cuz no one has seen or know of Cung Le's JJ game.. but if he happens to fight someone with a sick JJ game and shows he can hang.. dont see A Silva being able to beat someone like Cung Le.

Anderson Silva by TKO. i think his striking is good.
good enough to stop Cung's, who is quick and has nice kicks, but he doesnt throw the same type of shit. his boxing is ok, but he isn't so great in short range exchanges from what i've seen. he likes big kicks and shit from the outside, but Anderson is so evasive and quick that i think he could make it more of a Muay Thai range, short kicks and knees, and punch combinations.
but i think it would end up with Anderson on top throwing GnP against the inexperienced Cung.
although a scissors takedown kick from Cung might make me shit myself

If I had to guess, I'd have to say Cung's jiu-jitsu is only so good right now. He hasn't been (to my knowledge) studying it for too long.
I don't see Anderson taking Cung down either. He would try and strike with Cung..
In a stand up battle.. I think it is anyone's game.
I would be cheering for Cung Le, for the record. But this is 100% a toss up fight.
I will say this.. Cung Le has a great scissor kick.. if he finished it like Ryo Chonan.. I wouldn't be remotely surprised.

I guess we'll see after Cung fights Shamrock how good he really is, but after Silva's demolition of Hendo, it looks like a mismatch on paper. Silva by TKO.

As good as Le is at striking I just don't think SanShou isn't as practical as Mui Thai is... I think Silva could beat him standing or knock him down and work for a sub. I wouldn't be suprised if Le won either. If Le destroys Shamrock then this matchup will be the talk of the town.

I agree with everyone that it's a toss up standing, only because 16 fights isn't a lot of fights for a pure striker. That and the fact that it seems Cung has lost a step due to age could make the stand up very competative.
I would say Silva would win simply because he's the fucking man right now but if you asked me 2 fights ago I would have probably said Cung Le.
