| GONZAGA VS. KONGO? thoughts?
If they fought, I like would want gonzaga to win, but I dont think he would be able to beat Kongo IMO

If the fight goes to the ground, Kongo isn't skilled enough not to get tapped. On the feet I see Kongo kicking his ass. He is aggressive and if they could KO Gonzaga. I say Gabe would win because Kongo's takedown defense is shitty and he wouldn't be able to defend against Gabe's BJJ. That isn't saying that Kongo couldn't hit him with a hell of a kick and finish him.

Napao by sub in the first
Kongo still has 0 ground game and 0 takedown defense. he is slow standing up too, he prefers countering with power, and Gonzaga is quick for a big guy, quick enough to make it inside and get him down.
easy fight for Gabe.

As much as i dislike gabe he takes this because Kongo still has shit for take down D an Gabe is a mad man on the ground.
If Gabe for some reason decided to stand with Kongo and made no attempts to take it to the ground Kongo wins.
but for now Gabe by sub first round

I'm giving Kongo less credit standing than everyone else...I think it's 50/50 on the feet. Heavyweight strikers at that level can effectively end a fight with one solid strike, so Kongo can KO Gonzaga, or cripple if he lands a body shot. But for all his power, Cheick is pretty stiff and I think Gabe has much better movement--Kongo caught CC early, but CC isn't known for his movement either. And if Gabe connects, he can end the fight just as suddenly. I'm saying 50/50...Cheick is a better striker, but I'd give Gabe better standing defense.
And as everybody else has pointed out, Kongo is a fish out of water on the ground, it would shift to Gabe 90/10.

easy fight for Gabe. | Yeah kind of the way I see it if you look back at the way Carmelo Marrero worked Kongo on the ground.

Gonzaga by a longshot
Standing up kongo is slightly better but he would be on the ground in no time especially if he tried to clinch
Gonzaga beats the fuck out of him with elbows and eventually grabs one of those long ass arms and ends it via armbar or kimura IMO.

Easy sub, and an easily earned notch in the belt of GG.
