I think Gonzaga has to big of a size advantage IMO, and was much better on the ground. IMO Gonzaga could have held his own standing up, especially since he has a big size advantage.
Bas has never fought anyone as good as Gonzaga, and IMO that would make a difference. Gonzaga by armbar rd 2.

Bas would KO him in round 2.

However, I disagree that Gonzaga would be Bas Rutten's toughest opponent. Bas has fought better opponent's than Gonzaga (Both Shamrock's for starters).
Bas via liver shot in the first.. | Yeah Bas has fought Frank-who weighs 60 pounds less than Gabe and loss to him once
he fought ken who weighed 25+pounds less than gabe and lost twice
Gabe would take him down and sub him imo.

If Bas has a weakness, it's TD Defense for sure.
Also Gabe outweighs Bas by about 25-30 pounds and would take him down easily.
Now Bas Rutten is a badass. It kind of pisses me off when i think about how injuries ended his career and robbed us of so many good fights we would have gotten to see.
But with Gabe Being Bigger and stronger he would waste no time getting the fight to the ground imo.
and thanks, ken weighing 250 goes to show that Bas has trouble with Bigger fighters.

Bas via liver shot in the first.. | Ken and Frank has shit for stand up at that time, that's why Frank left the lions din and started training with Maurice Smith.
IMO the the Frank of today would beat Bas senseless. Prime bas or not.
Gonzaga has improved his standup greatly and even holds a KO over Mirko CroCop. Bas isn't just going to run through Gonzaga like that. In fact, he wont even beat him IMO.
Ken and Frank both would lose to Gonzaga even in their primes. Ken has lost to lesser fighters and Frank is just to small.
