Default Guida v. Huerta II

Who takes the rematch?

I say Clay, but it could be because I lost sig bets on the first one. Seriously though, I had Clay winning the first one before he got caught. I think he comes out even more aggressively and finishes Roger in the second.

I'm going with Huerta again. He was clearly winning the standup and avoided serious trouble until that knee at the end of the second. And in the third he came out and took the fight and Clay had no answer for him.

Guida was great at taking Huerta down and controlling him, but Huerta is naturally a great grappler and was able to defend himself well enough to win.

Taking Guida on this one but really it's a toss up. I would definitely watch a rematch between the to though.

If Huerta improves his wrestling he will be a top 15 fighter in that division. His wrestling isn't bad but for some reason it seems that most people in the top 15 are better wrestlers then him (Penn, Gomi, Sherk, Melendez, Kawajirri, Ishida, Stevenson, Edgar, Griffen etc) If he can stop Clay's takedowns he will win but if the fight was to happen right away Clay would likely decision him. Xtreme Couture is probably the perfect place for him to train to reach his full potential.

Isn't it kind of a bit soon for a dream rematch? lol

Anyway, I think Guida came in with the right game plan for Huerta, and still lost. Huerta would have an even better game plan next time.

Huerta takes it.

It could really go either way. Too close to call.
