| Cung Le vs. Lyoto Machida
Both fighters have a beautiful standup game, that is a different than the style most commonly utilized in mma. They both use stylized kicks and are very quick. I think a fight between the two of them would be like a work of art and would be a great fight to watch. Machida would definitely have an advantage on the ground and I think that's what would possibly get him the win, but it's really a toss up.
(Machida could easily make 185.)

Lyoto wins by well rounded skills vs a guy with no ground game.
not to mention the fact that Lyoto is a bad mofo, i dont think anyones gonna be underestimating this guy anymore

Cung need to get some better competition in order to make a educated guess. As it stands now, I think he would lose due to lack of a ground game.

still dont know how great Cung is on the ground. just knowing that, i'll go with Machida via Armbar.

Machida has one edge in this fight, and thats BJJ.. but its such a huge edge that it wins him the fight.. Cung Le needs more experience to beat a guy with a ton of experience and a great BJJ game.. a lot of guys dont at MW dont have the wrestling game or the striking game of Cung Le and they certainly dont have the combination.. but regardless he has pratically no BJJ game and on top of that no experience which you can ask Soko is a bad mix to have going into a fight with someone like Machida
I believe guys like Soko and Cung Le can beat the Machidas, the Aronas, etc.. the great grapplers of 185 and 205 with more experience.. there special fighters because there so elite and two aspects.. takedowns and striking but BJJ and experience will eclipse that 9 1/2 times out of 10.

i personally dont see cung le as an elite striker. i see him as a good striker. i know he used to be champion at all these different types of fighting, but for mma he really doesnt seem to have any power in his hands. he has pretty good kicks but im not impressed with his boxing at all. and he would be fighting machida who is a much bigger and more experienced fighter. i think machida takes it no problem.

nah you dont have 3 bronze medals in San Shou world competition and get reduced to anything less then elite striking. Who the hell has good boxing in MMA? its a short list.
