At 170 if Penn can't get Anderson to the ground he will get beat up and put away.
That goes for any weight between the 2.

I doubt, (But Hope) that we get a chance to see this one day. | Lyoto's Stand up is nowhere close to Anderson Silvas. and Silva has a black belt under the Nogueira brothers. Penn might have better bjj but he most likely wont be able to submit him

Anderson beats him soundly. probably by decision because of BJ's ridiculous chin, but he might even get a TKO, because BJ has never really fought someone bigger that really knew how to stand up and hurt people.
Machida plays tag, he doesnt have a lot of KO power and his style does not involve coming after someone and landing a lot of shots at once and finishing the fight.
BJ does not have a strong offensive takedown, and Anderson stopped Dan Henderson's takedowns in the 2nd round.
if they were the same size i could easily see BJ taking it if he could ever get to the mat, but in a real fight, Silva pwns.
