Thiago takes it on the feet with ease but its possible fitch could lay on him for 3 rounds avoiding submissions and still win, kind of like the fight with diego.

But fitch always has his wrestling to... fall back on i guess and bore us to death with some lay n pray because imo he can't finish thiago now and is scared to stand with him. Especially after fitch's showing against chris wilson and thiago's beatdown of karo
I got thiago in the 2nd with a high kick

I say Alves by awesome KO. I know that we haven't seen Fitch in any real trouble so we don't really know what will happen, but Alvees has bricks in his fists. Thiago by KO in the second. Fitch will get careless with his shot and will get caught backing away to reset himself for another shot.
I think that with time to work before the fight Thiago's sprawl will be at least sufficient to make Fitch have a difficult time with the takedown.

i have no idea why ppl think alves is going to win a rematch. alves is not a good wrestler and has a weak ground game. why do u think fitch beat him so badly the first time? the same thing will happen again, but alves might make it to a decision.

if they had gone to the ground alves would have been outmatched by all those guys. he destroyed hironaka on the feet. he beat lytle with a cut, he was lucky because he was losing that fight, which was also a standup battle. he manhandled desouza on the feet on way to TKO and threw him around a bit.. He KO'd karo in a short standup fight. Correct me if im wrong but i do beleive those were all primarily standup fights.
the only 2 fights that alves was on the ground that i can think of is the fight with jon fitch and spencer fisher. he got tkod by fitch and subbed by fisher. and fischer is not really known for his bjj. Ive never seen anything outa alves that indicates an above average ground game.
so therefor i think he loses to fitch again if they fight. fitch has the ability to take him down, and he has a better ground game to control him. Unless his ground game and TK'd defense has rapidly improved i cant see him winning this rematch at all.
