| Gesias Calvancante vs. Joachim Hansen II
So I just got done watchin there figth for the first time and am I the only one who thinks JZ got robbed. I mean he seemed to control the whole fight till the last few minutes scoring takedowns at will Hansen did basically nothin the whole fight and scored the UD. Anyway i was just wondering how everyone thinks the rematch would go hopefully we'll get to see it in the Dream GP

JZ for sure. he's on a mad streak and is just a destroyer, Hansen's wrestling and jits aren't up to par with JZ's top game.

Gesias for sure. When he first fought Joachim, he had little notice and it was the 3rd fight of his career.
Joachim, on the other hand, was deeper into his career having already fought Gomi (win) and Vitor Riberio (loss).
Gesias gave Joachim a great, close fight when he was very green. He wins via TKO in the 2nd. The guy is on such a streak right now and hasn't lost since he fought Joachim. I wouldn't hesitate to say Gesias will beat anyone in the LW division. IMO, Penn is the only guy who I think would beat JZ. I think Aoki could sub JZ, but 4/5, JZ wins. (well.. 3/5... damn NC lol). Ultimately, JZ is the #1 LW in the world.
And I am talking about the "reborn" Penn by the way. If slacker Penn went up against JZ, he would lose. I know the Penn heads on this forum just heard 1 million monkies taking a shit and are going to grab pitchforks, but I stand by my thoughts.

I mean, I think it is clear that if the first fight was under today's MMA rules, JZ would have undoubtedly won. I don't understand the scoring system, so, it could have been the fact that JZ would take down Hellboy and then do nothing afterwards. Meanwhile, Joachim is hitting JZ and that scored him points?
I mean, if you look at Randleman/Rutten, it was kind of like that. Randleman would score a takedown and just hold him there.
Either way, JZ controlled Hellboy for 90% of the fight.

Really am not seeing how Hansen got the decision out of that one, I mean even if you attempted to make a case that Hansen was more active off his back, threw more punches off his back then JZ was on top.. its really hard to look at that fight and say Hansen won. Wasnt JZ's best performance though, all those standups were his fault.
Still JZ domiantes a rematch, but I only have him at 3 right now.. I think BJ and Gomi would both beat him.
