I highly doubt the UFC wouldn't announce this at least a year or two in advance to the fighters either.
Well, Mir weighs about 275. BJ weighs about 175 when he starts his camp. And he fought openweight, not heavyweight, because never in his life has he fought over 205.
I honestly do not see Penn going into an openweight tournament. Because buddy, it's not all about weight. He also has a true LW frame. he is 5'9 and has a 70 inch reach. When he has to go against guys with a foot of reach on him, it's game over, I don't care how talented you are
