| Melvin Guillard vs. Takanori Gomi
Before you guys start yelling at me about how there is no way Melvin is ready, hear me out. I think maybe this time next year once he has like 3 to 4 more fights, if he dominates them like he did his last fight. And he doesn't get caught in a sub (i.e. against josh neer) he could be a really exciting match up for Gomi.

Just a question, but how does dominating 3-4 nobodies make you ready for the best?

It has potential but Melvin definitely need some more solid fights before he faces Gomi. He got saved by the bell at the end of round one in his last fight. If it hadn't been for the bell, he'd be looking at another loss. With some more experience though, I could see him being a threat to a guy like Gomi.

this would be exciting as hell. two big strong guys that love to stand and bang
i would always go with Gomi. he's gone toe to toe with some of the best strikers in the LW division, and always won. dude's got mad chin, and quick powerful standup
i would give Gomi the edge on the ground as well. Melvin has showed a lack of submission defense, and though his wrestling has gotten better with Tito and Punishment, and while Gomi's isnt great, its better then what Melvin's showed me in almost losing to Ruedigar, and getting triangled by Neer.

lol i love that little clip killer. althought tito did show a little class after the fight and made up with shamrock, but i doubt that he completetly changed. its funny how he compares himself to couture and liddell, and when asked how he would beat liddell he said that he would beat liddell how coutured did by taking him down. since when has tito become as good as a fighter or a wrestler then randy? tito got wasted by chuck early and dominated by couture. he isnt on there level, he didnt even make a competicious match.
