Chuck may be moving up to heavyweight....if that happens this match most likely happens...who wins in a 5 round fight?

first of all, chuck going up tp hw isnt going to happen ne time soon now that forrest has the belt and chuck can be champ again..

but in this fight i think it hard to call...alot of people will for sure pick nog right away and i did too but when thinking about it, chuck has the best takedown d in the sport and if nog couldnt get chuck down itl be a decision win for chuck, maybe a tko but doubtful...nog got the shit beat out of him by cro cop and his tdd, but then nog got cc down and subbed him...this fight all dependes on nog being able to get chuck down...and i think it would eventually happen though..

i think this fight goes alot like cc vs nog, but i dont know if nog will get it down...to hard to pick imo

nog by getting the oblivious crap beaten out of him until the hail mary flying gogoplata.

or.. in a more realistic world, when chuck goes in for the tko kill, nog will grab him, fall back into the guard and throw on your choice of plata.

I think Chuck can knock Nog out. Nog's takedowns aren't that great.

Nog Wins This Hands Down

totally unfair to say Nog wins hands down. this is a classic brawler vs grappler, and though nog is SICK on the ground, and has the chin to prolly not get KO'd by chuck, it is very improbable the he ouwld get him down. liddell has the power, and accuracy to beat nog up for 5 rounds. yeah he would probably gas, but nog probably would to after getting his face turned into hamburger. look at what tim did in just two rounds. very close fight, it goes either way, but i'd be pullin for chuck.

ya know, i'm thinking, chuck's TDD is fantastic, but is obviously geared toward wrestling. Nog has a blackbelt in judo as well as bjj, so he has a much larger menu of takedowns and grappling techniques to use than, say, tito. nog is also a bit larger than chuck, (not checking any matchup charts just going by memory), and may be able to keep chuck at bay until shooting against the cage.

in light of this, perhaps it'll be a little easier for nog

NOG really isn't that much bigger at all. chuck usually walks around at 220 or so and is 6'2, and nog fought sylvia weighin 231, and is 6'3. not that different. good point about the Judo and BJJ takedowns. either way though nogs takedowns just arent that impressive. i would pay some serious cash for this fight. bad matchup for nog imo

I think it will be a standup battle that Nog would win. He may try a take down or two, but don't think he will really be successful there.

It's interesting because Liddell's amazing ability to keep fights standing with his takedown defense. Nog can be beaten silly though and still stay standing.
