I've got Lyoto, all day.
I don't even think it would be a decision, I think he'd TKO him in later rounds. Never exactly a cardio machine, Rampage would gas in later rounds, and Lyoto would hurt him.
Lyoto is the better striker by far and just beat a better/more conditioned grappler in Tito. I just don't see Jackson winning unless Lyoto makes an uncharacteristic mistake.

I think that if Rampage can get close enough to Machida to get hold of him in the clinch or get ontop of him on the ground, I think that his sheer strength and ground and pound ablity would just break Machida's spirit and in a way, I think he'd manhandle Machida.
Although, as long as Machida utilizes that point karate form of striking, I think that his evasiveness would earn him enough points to win a decision.
I feel that Rampage will have to make some risks in order to get Machida into his world, and that is where Machida will take advantage of.
Rampage if he can impress his will, Machida if he avoids Rampage's overwhelming strength.

Rampage by TKO.. He has yet to be tested by a LHW of Rampages Stature and Punch Power who knows how he will react. Ill probably get negged but I dont think Machida is that good. His In and Out style works against many but has he beaten a top 10 LHW yet? Please dont say Tito Ortiz was one or Soko....Until he beats a somebody recently ( no not bj penn in 05 who was like 185 and clearly out of shape and I understand he beat rich franklin who is not a top 10 LHW) I dont see him beating Rampage

I honestly don't think Rampage would be able to find Machida at all, look at what forrest did with leg kicks to page, and machida's kicks are much better than forrests, more technical and alot snappier.

Still dont see it Machida, although very technical and almost stalks his opponents, isnt really a finisher...... 5 of his last 6 fights were by decision and I think Quinton was off against Forrest so you cant base it off that entirely....If Machida does not finish Rampage and hopes for a decision Rampage will Knock him out....A lil biased coming from a dude who has rampage as his display picture but still I dont see the hype surrounding Machida...Let him fight a top guy and then we shall truly see.

I'm not convinced Lyoto's is better. Quote:

| Lyoto is the better striker. By Far? I won't go that far, but I do think he will out point Rampage standing.
Also, Rampage is a much better wrestler than tito, and would beat Tito within a inch of his life. Very bad comparison.
