| Josh Barnett vs Frank Mir.
Two very solid submission based, tough as nails, former UFC champions who never lost the straps, go toe to toe.
Who ya got?

To be honest, I'm not sure that Mir is better than Barnett at anything. Mir's best chance is a submission (obviously), but I don't see any legitmate submission losses on Barnett's record (yes, he tapped to strikes against Mirko, but that isn't a submission in the sense I'm talking about). I'd say Barnett takes this one fairly easily. Come to think of it, I'd like to see this fight. Let's get someone on that.

The fact that Nogs couldn't finish him leads me to believe Mir wouldn't stand a chance.

I'd go with Barnett on this one.
The only thing that saves Mir in the UFC is his Jiu Jitsu. As shown with Lesnar in his debut.

I'm going with Barnett for sure. Barnett has gone up against guys with BJJ that is on the same level or better than Mir's jiu-jitsu.
Barnett is a better striker, and a better wrestler. I see Barnett controlling Mir from the top for the entire fight and winning a very dominate decision.

Mir would be in serious trouble against Barnett. Then again, I have Barnett at #3 in the division.
I think Barnett can take anyone aside from Fedor and Big Nog. He's got a good blend of size, skills, and experience.

He will be the greatest ever even if he lost his next 20 fights, but that won't happen because he will get revenge on Werdum ands get that Strikeforce Heavyweight Championship and retire and prove it to everyone he is the greatest fighter ever!
