i have to agree with you on that one man, i cant believe i am saying i think rashad would win, but when you look at this guys speed and striking, and then think about how when he got into ufc he wasnt even a striker, but an amazing wrestler, i honestly think we would pull out the upset.

Anderson would outstrike him. Forrest was outstriking Rashad and lost due to having a weak guard. Anderson's chin is rock solid and if he gets taken down, he will tie Rashad up. Rashad doesn't have the best BJJ game to pass either.

Also, Rashad has been rocked by a few fighter's strikes, he will definitely get rocked by Anderson and imo finished.

Forrest is a great striker plus he had 5 inch height advantage and superior reach. In case you didn't know, that makes a huge difference.

Silva on the other hand, wont have that big an advantage and and in fact is naturally much smaller. I'm not conviced he can still carry as much power against Rashad and Rashad is no slouch. If Rashad can push the pace, keep Silva going backwards, while avoiding anything too big he can win.

I don't know if Rashad would be able to throw round one away against Silva. I think Silva would make him pay. Rashad would definitely have to take Silva down and then he would have to worry about getting subbed. Look how much trouble he had passing Forrest's guard and we later found out that Forrest's hand was broken. Having said that, you can't count Rashad out. Rashad by powerslam followed by GnP.

Rashad has a good shot, but I think Anderson might win.
Be tougher then everyone thinks though.
(Must stop under-estimating Rashad... [/notetoself])

I'm not saying Rashad is a slouch but who's the best striker that Rashad has faced? probably Forrest and Forrest was outstriking Rashad for two rounds before Rashad caught his kick, nailed him and capitalized in the GNP. However, Forrest is not even close to the striker that Anderson is and doesn't even have remotely the chin that Anderson does. Plus, Anderson's reach is even bigger than Forrest (although by like 0.5 to 1 inch). Go watch past fights to see their reach. Silva is quicker, more precise and more versatile than Forrest as well.

Rashad seemed to be at his best when he's counter striking, so I don't know why he would bother to push the pace against arguably one of the best counter-strikers in the sport in Anderson. By the way, when do you see Anderson ever going backwards, he has great footwork and move side to side and cuts angles really well.

People are overrating Rashad's striking game. He has shown to capitalize on fighter's mistake and showed great killer instinct but my no means was he even ahead in the striking in any of those fights. Anderson would outclass him standing imo.
