So how does this one play out? I really think that on the feet Melvin could win this fight, if it goes to the ground Silva would own him. SO I'll say Melvin by KO.

I have only seen Melvin fight once and he KOed Mark Hunt which even Cro-Cop and Fedor couldn't do so that says something to me. Guys match up differently of course but as I really want to see Anderson get his first UFC loss I would go for Melvin. Anderson seems almost arrogant lately and if Melvin hit him solidly he would be going to sleep.

Melvin has viscous knock-out power and truly elite level striking. It's time to stop looking for grapplers who try to beat silva on the ground. And look for a striker who has a good chance at beating him standing up.

I would love to see this fight.

melvin is probably my second favorite fighter. but i think silva would beat him on the ground or standing. manhoef is a beast but he can get i bit over aggressive. and his over aggressiveness will be his down fall in this fight. plus manhoef is pretty predictable and his groundgame is very suspect. silva will capitalize on any mistake manhoef makes.

Good fight this would be if Melvin had stamina. Maybe I don't remember him having stamina but I dont' remember him having any stamina ala the fight with Cyborg. Maybe it was because of all the punches to the head lol. Anyway with cardio and standing up I would say Melvin by crazy shorts power.

This would be a great fight but I believe Melvin would KO Silva on the feet IF he could get through his reach. If Melvin cannot get past the reach, Anderson would slowly chip away at him until he is gassed and go in for the KO. I think it's safe to say Anderson would sub him on the ground.

I think Anderson Silva takes this. Manhoef's brutal rumble-striking will be no match for Silva's a technical striking. He will slowly, but surely be picked apart by Silva's strikes.
