I don't think Shogun would have the patience to defeat someone like Lyoto Machida. He may push the pace and cause Machida a few problems, but I think overall Lyoto would play it smart and keep doing what he's been doing.

If Shogun fought like he did against Coleman he would get picked apart. Machida frustrates fighters with his unorthodox style. Tito got annoyed with it and the frustration was reflected in his showinga and the rest is history. I don't think Shogun has the patience and would try to push the pace and get countered by Machida and get TKOed or survive and lse the decision.

Theres a poll machida vs rua fact is that machida would win he all tecnique he waits for his moments a perfectionist ... And plus based on the way rua fought coleman idk his cardio prolly not as good and maybe not a as good as a fighter as his pride days yo i might be wrong but who knows maybe it was ring rust for rua ... But we all waiting for liddell vs. Rua kno who would win?
