Kimbo vs. Irvin

Now that Kimbos going to be on TUF, I'm pretty sure the UFC will give him a shot on a PPV after whether he wins or loses the tournament, just because he's such a big name. I could see them putting him in with another pretty one-dimensional striker like James Irvin. The Irvin-Alexander fight was kind ofthe same concept except they forgot Alexander has a glass jaw, but both Irvin and Kimbo seem pretty resilient. How would a Kimbo-Irvin match up go down?

Also if they were to try to test him against a well rounded fighter (say he works his ground game during TUF), a fight against Bonnar would be pretty interesting.

irvin would ko him with ease. kimbo got dropped by a lazy shot from petruzelli, what do you think would happen if he ate a solid shot from what randy couture says is the hardest hitter he ever sparred with in james irvin. irvin by KO round one.

bonnar by submission. i think kimbo vs rampage would be an interesting fight.

Irvin would massacre him.

Well, lets not forget that Kimbo completely disregarded the Silverback and didn't have anything on his mind except striking and how does Chuck Liddell say it " I just got caught"
the fcat is that if he's learned anything from that it should never happen again. The outcome would not be the same I say Irvin goes down.

Irvin would put him to sleep. Kimbo is too one-dimensional.

All he had on his mind was striking? He lost due to a punch. If he had lost due to an armbar or some other submission I'd see your point.

Kimbo's going to get another opportunity to show people whether he's improved since then or not. It'd be nice to see that he has, but I have major doubts given his age along with the training problems he's rumored to have (talked about on Inside MMA with Bas Rutten).

i think Irvin would win this match...

As unfair as I think Kimbo has been treated, and as much as I think people hype the hell out of a less than stellar Irvin, I've got to give it to Irvin.

Experience.
