Bj Penn VS Diego Sanchez
 

if BJ penn wins his fight tonight against KenFlo, then BJ will end up Defending the belt against Diego Sanchez probably in November or December. how do you board members see this fight going down? i pumped at the possibility of this fight and would wrather see penn/sanchez than florian/sancez.

i think both fighters are amazing strikers, but i do believe that Diego is more agressive and powerful, i'd give the striking advantage to Diego

Wrestling is Diego's bread and butter in my opinion, thats what he does best and dictates where most of his fights go, BJ seems to be a solid wrestler, not too great or crappy, just enough to get him by. wrestling advantage goes to Diego in my eyes

BJJ- Diego is i beleive a purple or brown belt in gracie Jui-Jitsu, while BJ was a BlackBelt and World Champion Jiu-Jitsu fighter in just 3 years. Advantage goes to BJ for sure.


with being fans of both of these fighters, id say that Diego will most likely win this fight by late round KO or scoring a Unanimous Decision.

I'll take BJ tonight, although I wouldn't be surprised if Florian kickboxed his way to a very close decision, after that I think that a Sanchez fight might be a little more challenging, given just how BIG Diego is at 155 and how wellrounded he is.

I'll still take BJ on account of his ridiculous sub skills and big game experience, but I think Sanchez will definately give him a run for his money and I wouldn't be surprised if he could rip out a win.

Diego's intensity will overwhelm BJ and since Diego has never seemed gassed at any point that I have seen I think he would also outdistance BJ IMO.

Diego does not even deserve a title shot. He should have to get through Edgar or Maynard before he gets Penn. I think Edgar and Maynard beat Diego easily too.

Edgar by Unanimous decision over Diego (his boxing is to good, and he could take Diego down if he wanted to)

I got Diego in this one. I think it may look like GSP/Penn II.

Theres no way in hell Maynard would beat Sanchez. He would get his ass beat. And Edgar wouldnt stand a chance either. He might have solid boxing skills but he wouldnt be able to hold Sanchez down in a million years.

The BJ/Sanchez fight would be a good one seeing how Sanchez is a huge LW. Plus his wrestling and ground and pound is great. But Penn has good standup and can throw submissions from anywhere. I cant wait to see this fight.

yeah, edgar has no chance of holding sanchez down. edgar looked like a tiny 155er when he fought sherk. sanchez by gnp or KO.

Should be a good fight with Baby J taking the victory. Baby J just has too much experience and drive now since he lost to GSP to afford to lose again. If he had lost to Florian i think he might have thought twice about fighting again.
