I've been hearing tonnes of whispers about this bout possibly for the Jan. 2 event and given both of their styles and technique, I think it would be a sincerely cool fight to see.

Wanderlei has looked in a word: FLAT lately and Akiyama is looking to impress after a hard fought and questionable win over the Talented Belcher and both of these fighters always tend to really bring a lighting bolt to their bouts, so......

I love both. But Wandy maybe indeed be "done". I want to see him do something before I can start counting on him again. Poor guy has been in more wars than anybody. Maybe the drop helps him.

Akiyama is a monster! But Wandy still has some of the best stand-up in the game. So Akiyama will last 1 round then get TKO'd IMO.

I love this matchup. Best one to make right now for Wand, I think. If Wanderlei is ready to make a 'comeback' who better to prove it to than Akiyama?
