Bj Penn vs Anderson Silva

Who do you think would win this fight? Anderson is heavier but I think that if Penn takes him to the ground he will have good chances.
In the stand up both are great but Anderson is better.

I think the sheer size of Anderson would give BJ problems. Look what happened with GSP. And this is coming from a HUGE BJ Fan.

adam, I understand your point, but Anderson doesn't have the kind of physically imposing style GSP does. BJ fought Lyoto and took him to a decision, so I honestly could see this going BJ's way

i think that bj would actually give anderson more problems than GSP. BJ has great standup and a granite chin... and if he got anderson down he could certainly end the fight. this is one i would love to see

They were both very green at the time.

Silva would KO Penn and so would Lyoto at this point.

While I understand what you're saying, you can also make the argument that BJ has evolved too. BJ is a man who has never relied on size to beat opponents, always skill.

I still stand by my opinio that BJ has a legitimate shot at beating Anderson.

And I'm not saying that BJ has better striking, Anderson's is in my opinion the best in the UFC, BJ just has a hell of a heart
