GSP vs. Paul Daley

Who takes it?

neonatural45 01-02-2010 10:12 PM

Is this a joke?

GSP could tap him with any submission he pleased

Daley has a better chance than any other welterweight in the UFC.

Fedorlei Gomipierre 01-03-2010 07:14 AM

Daley knocked the hell outta two REALLY good fighters who were stupid enough to strike with him, GSP isn't and the fight will follow whatever gameplan Rush cares to make. GSP will take Daley down ASAP and just pummel him into submission. That is if Daley can even make 170.

He's got amazingly heavy hands, but he's not anywhere NEAR a complete enough fighter to challenge GSP. Neither is Fitch, Alves or Kos.

Nick Diaz and Jake Shields are potential threats, because their skillset poses some greater challenges to Rush, but still, I gotta say that GSP is right now, untouchable at 170.

First of all Haze and GSP are hardly comparible as fighters. Second like Fedorlei said GSP will not give Daley the time of day in the stand up dept. Maybe if this was before the Serra upset I would say maybe but GSP is just to smart to fight a fight where he has let's say 50% chance of winning (Stand Up) instead of 80-90% (Ground). GSP would walk right through him, imho.

Daley's getting the same hype Alves did. Sure, if he lands a heavy punch he could definitely knock GSP out. GSP doesn't have a glass jaw by any means but it's definitely not a great chin.

The thing favoring GSP is that you can't throw heavy punches from your back, and that's where Semtex will be one minute into this fight. Daley hasn't shown any kind of submission defense (didn't give Hazlett a chance, poor kid) so I would put money that's where GSP will attack and win.

Smaciman 01-03-2010 01:27 PM

I voted GSP, but I want to say that Semtex has just an much chance as everyone else.

As I said for Hardy, every fight starts standing, and if Paul works his sprawl then he could KO GSP in the 1st round.

That sadly, is his only chance though, as we're yet to see a ground game from him

Dustin Hazelett is an average fighter that Rogan happens to love, GSP is a top 3 p4p fighter.

Agreed
Daley hit very hard. I can see him ko'ing GSP with that crazy lead left hook.
