Default Jon Jones vs. King Mo

King Mo vs Mike Whitehead

Jon Jones vs Brandon Vera
Brandon Vera vs. Jon Jones – Fight Video UFC on Versus 1

Both guys are basically undefeated, entertaining, athletic freaks and relatively untested. They have both dominated every single guy so it's not really realistic to be overly confident towards either of them. I know there's some huge UFC fans that just got done watching Jon Jones on versus and are going to be quick to say Bones would demolish him. Obviously, with King Mo's next opponent we will have a much better idea of what kind of fighter Mo is. For now, I have no idea what would happen and I can't picture either of them losing. They both have great wrestling, so it would be interesting to see who would get a take down. Even more fascinating is the stand up aspect of this fight. They are both very unique, explosive, flashy and unpredictable with their strikes and overall stand up style

I personally feel that Jon Jones should take this. But Mo i think is by far the better wrestler, but i like Jon's stand up better and he should be able to use his wrestling to defend takedowns or to get the fight back to the feet.

does it require more rep to make this a poll? This is one of the better matchups I've seen apart from the obvious ones

I have to disagree about the wrestling, Mo is better at Freestyle wrestling but Jones has great Greco-Roman. I think that wrestling they are almost equal. It comes to whoever can employ their style more effectively. I think that Jones would probably win this fight , Lawal seems to get drawn into not respecting his opponents, that would hurt him when fighting someone better then Whitehead. jones by KO in the 2nd

You could have made a poll when you made the thread. Now, it takes a MOD to add it, i think

Jones has a longer reach than stephan struve, maybe an advantage in the standup.

The wrestling is not equal, King Mo is hands down the better wrestler to the points its not even close. Well Jones has good wrestling and is a NJCAA champion, King Mo has a ton of international experience. King Mo at one point was considered the best freestyle wrestler in America until he was upset at the Olympic trials in the finals. Trust me when I say this, King Mo in a wrestling match would wipe the floor with Jones.

As far as an MMA fight goes, I think King Mo takes it. We would see how Jones is on his back and how he reacts to getting hit with some power. King Mo via TKO in the 2nd.
