GSP vs Anderson Silva, both at 170lbs......

I've already created a poll for them fighting at 185lbs a while back. Now that there's talk of Silva coming down to 170lbs, who wins it? Did your vote change because the weight would be in GSP's normal world? Does it make a difference?

Definitely no secret here - I think GSP takes this one. I think he takes Silva down and controls the entire fight. Will he finish Silva? I doubt it, but I think he takes it.

Not sure why Silva wants to fight at 170, but if he wants the fight that bad I think he takes GSP out. As annoying as his victory over Maia was, Anderson is just too slick and powerful for GSP. Still, I want to see it.

GSP via DEC takedown clinic that fight'll be

Silva has to much reach on him, and knows how to keep his distance. Sure gsp will get him down maybe a couple times but silva's got a crazy guard! And grappling skills!
Silva will eventually get the ko because gsp will be 2 predictable and apart from that silva is on another level to anybody else.

"Crazy guard"? Is it any "crazier" than BJ Penn's? I think not. Silva is a master at keeping distance, and much of that is due to how long his reach is. At the same time, GSP is the master at takedowns, so when he does get him down, he'll GnP him to a win, just like he's done to other fighters with "crazy guards".

Not to mention that Anderson has less than two inches of reach on Georges...which should be a graphic illustration of the size advantages GSP employs at WW.

I honestly have no clue, i have wonder'd and moved back and forth between them as to who would win. I don't think GSP ever faced someone like Anderson, but the same can be said that Anderson never faced someone like GSP. I voted GSP, i think in cutting to 170 will make Silva a little weak and GSP will take advantage of it, i also think that no matter where this fight is at it will be competitive. GSP has, recently for some reason, underrated stand up, and ofcourse a great ground control game and submissions. Anderson's stand up needs no introduction but has underrated ground game. So on the feet it would be competitive, on the ground it would be competitive and i really hope this fight happens much more sooner rather than later.

Once the guard is passed, the long legs will just flutter around as he gets his lights turned out. Then maybe we'll see a bit of twitching out of them.

In the guard: BJ's insane flexibility = Silva's long legs
