Jake Shields VS Chael Sonnen

There you have it.

Two of the biggest assclowns in MMA.

Who lays on top of the other longer?

By the way, I hate Shields.

Sorry, didnt mean to post thread twice.

Wow, it didnt post my poll.

Tonight sucks.

Lol, i am sorry it didn't post you poll. But i think this goes to Chael, maybe, interesting but i would bet Chael.

seeing as i love chael and he is not an ass clown, ok maybe he's an ass clown, but i think he takes this. i fucking hate shields so much.

Well considering Sonnen's achilles heel is the submission game and Shields is one of the best players I see this ending in submission in R3. Not a dream match to me by any means. Sonnen wouldn't want to go to the ground so he would try and stuff Shields and keep it standing and neither of them are anything special when it comes to that. Sonnen's got the edge but he isn't going to KO Shields leading to a somewhat boring first 2Rounds.

Chael would beat the shite out of Jake! :)

I'd go with Shields. Shields is far more superior in the submission game than Sonnen, and unlike Silva, uses those skills all of the time.

Shields by submission round 1.

Sonnen's only losses in the last 3 years were by submission but at the hands of Maia and Filho who are no joke on the ground. I wouldn't put Shields in the same category as Maia by any means. I still give this to Sonnen, ground and pound TKO

I think Sonnen's stand up is a little better...leading to either a decision victory or a 3rd round G n P victory for Sonnen.

I don't remember who once posted the link a while back, but there is a vid of Shields grappling with Vinny Magalhaes, who is a very highly decorated BJJ practitioner and Champion, and Shields beat him. I was very impressed. Don't underestimate Shields' BJJ skills, they are a lot higher than most people give him credit for.
