WOW one hell of a striking match here. Both have KO power. AO has an advantage in the clinch and with kicks IMO. If it is just a boxing match JDS takes him i think, but in MMA....it is a toss up IMO. I think it is who lands the big shot first.
Flip a coin IMO

i think overeem would take out his legs and land some viscous knees from the clinch.

AO all the way in a striking match. K1 level striker and does well there. Dos Santos? Beats me what level he is even though he is good. On the ground I have Dos Santos to win, you can't go to Black House and learn nothing at all.
I have AO winning by tko in the second round. Sad to say

I with TBEAR. not saying AO doesnt have flash ko power or one hitter quitter power but i would think the punching power would favor JDS. I think if AO used his kicks and tie up on the fence he would win a dec or a late 2nd or 3rd rd tko but im going with JDS landing one big shot and ending it. But one hell of a throwdown that AO can easily win.

I'll be the first to toute Overeem's awesome K1 standup level skills and he's a massive fucking HW, however Cigano's crisp boxing, genuine and constant head & body movement and serious power will somewhat negate that and the height and reach aren't at a terribly disparity, so as you can tell, I'm leaning towards JDS. Overeem isn't the fastest draw in the west and I think Cigano has the handspeed which could be a defining key. I haven't had the privilege to see JDS's jits yet, but he's a brownbelt with Nog, so I think he can handle his own on the mat.
I see Overeem not being able to handle the flurry Cigano blisters towards him and after a few exchanges is unable to maintain a solid clinch and will be picked off and KTFO'd.

That would be a crazy fight. AO is clearly the more versatile striker, but JDS's boxing is better, he has more speed, power, explosiveness and timing in his hands. But dealing with AO's kicks and knees would be very difficult. If JDS's turns it into a kickboxing match, similar to how he fought cc then he would lose. But if he really put the pressure on AO and just overwhelmed him i could see overeem going down like he has in the past. Agree with what most of you said, but one thing not considered is we dont know how good JDS's chin is, but we have seen in the past that AO can get rocked quite frequently, especially if the pressure is on him.(Chuck, sergei, possibly lil nog and shogun) But if JDS lays back and makes it technical like rogers did, he will see the same fate. Not saying rogers would have won, and bull rushing(wand, pride days) can be very dangerous and can get you KO fast if you dont keep your defense up, but some fighters dont do well when the pressure is on them. Overeem is one of those fighters. Quote:

He wouldnt get killed like great boxer, toney would, who would get lit up with kicks until he fell on his face. AO does not have more power all around in his striking, his kicks and knees for sure, some of the best in all of mma, but he has never had very powerful hands and tends to pay for it when he misses, dont come back quick enough and gets countered.

I'm going Dos Santos here, although I'm not saying AO can't win. Damn good stand-up war though but I'd give it to JDS via TKO late rd 2
