Jacare, Jacare, JA-CARE!
I've seen them in a bunch of grappling contests over the years and Jacare outclasses Jake by far. I think at the moment, Jacare's striking is probably the "crisper" of the two and would leave me to give him the edge in both submission/grappling and standup, however Shields has a fucking gastank and could really keep this one going if he could avoid the submission, although I'm not terribly confident that he'd be able to since Jacare's such a BJJ wizard.
I think that Jacare's rise within Strikefarce's MW contention was probably a pretty solid argument for Shields to travel to the UFC, because on paper at least, I feel Jacare trumps Shields in almost all of his own "wheelhouse" areas. Not a knock whatsoever on Shields, I just think Jacare(who I'm a total mark for) simply has a superior similar skillset and would benefit likewise.

Also Jacare on this one, I feel he's much better on the ground and let's be honest Jake's striking has a lot to be desired.

jake lasts tell the 3rd round then jacare gasses and gets beat up for the next 2 rounds baring its a title fight and loses s split dec so ya id go with shields

I'd lean towards Jacare. He has much better standup and is more creative in the Jiu-Jitsu department. Jake has the wrestling, but I think he'd get choked out at some point.

Jacare wins by sub imo
No way in hell Jake finishes this fight (just like most of his fights) his best bet would be to take Jacare down and cling to him tightly, but that would not be easy.
But Jacare also has a weight advantage and he's a strong mofo as it is, I'd take Jacare by a 1st rd choke of some sort.

i was always interested in this fight, coker said that shields turned down jacare 2 different times. Sheilds has good takedowns and bjj, and sick bjj defense, but jacare would beat sheilds on the ground and striking even though jacare's standup isnt too good, sheilds is just that bad.
