I am personally very impressed with Melendez.
I think he beats Edgar.

agree, both have good standup but melendez has way better power and I could see him finishing edgar.

Well I think Frankie proved he is tough as nails...sooo this could be an interesting matchup. I'd love to see it, more-so, than the rematch with Maynard, but I'll wait around  | |

This is a tough one to call. Edgar's made me a believer after the fights with BJ Penn and the war he had with Maynard.
Both have great speed. Melendez has the better power...but after seeing the shot Maynard gave him in the first round and the way he showed heart, I'm going with Edgar by UD. Either way, its a tough one to call and a very good argument could be made for both fighters. I'd love to see this one actually happen.

But until he steps the fuck up and proves it I have Frankie #1 other wise

I dont like to hate, but Frankie is as much of a point fighter as you can get. If you watch most of his fights he never has an endgame plan or goes for the finish. He fights to get the Judges to declare him the winner. He will throw minimal shots and get out, never following up on them and will get takedowns and get back up, just to get points.

Its going to be a war man, If frankie doesn't get hit with a big punch early, we may very well see him cruise to a ud over grey.

I would take melendez over edgar and put money on it melendez is so explosive and can do some serious damage with his hands it would be a good fight but i see melendez winning wy tko at some point.
I just really would love to see melendez against some of the top tier guys of the UFC and see how he stacks up against them. I would love to see him fight someone like Melvin i think that has war written all over it, or against Guida to see if he really can compete with the top two guys in the division.
