| Randy "The Natural" Couture vs Quinton "Rampage" Jackson
I know this has been done before but it was some months back and I want to get a fresh discussion with fresh opinions.
I say this fight would not stay standing so I see Randy winning this.

Quinton Jackson
I think when you face guys like Arona, etc etc you get smarter on the ground you know what your doin' and Quinton has handled a better wrestler in Matt Lindland, hes a better striker then Randy Couture, stronger dude as well.. more killer instinct.. I think if its in a ring Quinton def. takes this, but in an Octagon Randy has a lot more advantages.

prime rampage vs prime randy?
i personally would only roll money on the underdog, as this would be a very competitive fight, and very exciting.
rampage has the edge standing, edge in sheer strength, edge in the clinch with the knees, while Randy has much superior wrestling, ground and pound, and ground control. Rampage isn't stupid, but Randy's gameplans are some of the best in the business.

randy by tko or decision
like afro said rampage has faced a great wrestler in matt linland and semi controlled the fight, but linland is a natural mw and no matter wat, that is a disadvantage at this high level of fighting. randy is bigger stronger, better striker and better in the clinch then matt linland, and matt did very well against rampage with alot of people saying the fight could have gone to linland.
i think in the cage randy smashes quinton into the cage all day and pounds him out, in the ring rampage may have more of an advantage but i could still see randy pullin a decision.

i dont think its as simple as Randy being a better wrestler so he'll win
cuz hes lost to Ricco, Overeem, and Barnett.. being better wrestlers then all 3 of them.
I think Rampage is a better striker, bigger opponent, stronger opponent, probably faster, and more technical on the ground.. Randy relied too much on that side mount on the cage to pick up wins.

yeah he lost to them being at hw, but at lhw hes better.
the way i see it, is that randy is a better matt linland, hes bigger, stronger, and a better striker then matt, and matt did very well with rampage lilke i said before.

I cant picture Couture beating Rampage outside of the cage.

i agree in the ring rampage would have the advantage, but i still think if randy had the right game plan he could pull a decision, but i wouldnt count rampage out ever...

regardless of cage or ring i think rampage would win, even against couture in his prime, no disrespect to randy i like the guy and he was a great fighter but with rampages wrestling skills and his striking ability i see rampage getting a knock out or tko, in similar fashion to the way chuck did
