i was talking to my friends today about a rematch between the two best HW's. If they were to fight again sometime this year or the next, who would win?

I was the only one to think Fedor can still defeat CC. I can't imagine how CC is gonna pull off a win. Maybe a LHK, but Fedor is always prepared and is one of the smartest fighters. CC can't pull off a submission, he can either win by decision or go on to win by a TKO. Now let's be serious, CC does not have the punching power Fujita has. And even if he does now, Fedors conditioning is top notch allowing him to recover very quickly.

so out of my friends, 1 vote for Fedor, 3 for CC.

what do you guyz think?

This would easily be the biggest gate of the year UNLESS chuck and wandy actually happened or CC vs. AA.
That said

CC has improved alot since their first fight and I believe he can catch fedor with the LHK but if Fedor is watching and planning He will just catch it like he did last time and throw CC on his ass. Maybe CC can take his legs out but I just don't see Fedor losing to anybody RIGHT NOW. In a year things change once CC has a few title defenses under his belt and he just oozes confidence (he will become to UFC's poster boy even bigger than chuck) Then maybe he can beat fedor but right now I get it to Fedor. This time Split Decision 30-29 29-30 30-29 Fedor-CC.

i agree let mirko win the ufc belt get him feeling unbeatable and i think he would have alot better chance with fedor this time

fedor cant go undeafeated for ever so i pick cro cop.

i believe if cro cop is in better shape this time( he gassed in there last fight) and presses the action more he could pull of a win. im torn on if he could ever tko or ko fedor but mayeb with better conditioning and a now beter ground game cro cop could pull a decision if hes better prepared.

im torn almost down the middle in this again, fedor is fedor and to be honest id like cc to win but fedor is the best for a reason. i just dont think cc was prepared last time for fedors game plan, i think hed have a better game plan and could pull the win out.

Fedor would have the edge, but hasn't looked all that impressive since his return to injury.

This would be a war of course but I'd still give it to Fedor coming out victorious. This fight may happen sooner than we think because according to that latest interview with CroCop he is wanting to get his 6 fights over with fast and fight Fedor on NYE of 2007.

This fight would be awesome, and I hope it will happen some day. I always root for Fedor, except when he fought Cro Cop.

With that, I think Fedor would beat him again, by a decision. Mirko has improved alot since his fight with Fedor. I believe both fighters have stated they were not top condition for that fight, or Fedor wasn't in top condition, so to see this fight when both guys are healthy would be great.

I wouldn't be suprised if Cro Cop wins this one, and I'll be cheering for Cro Cop through the fight, but if I was going to bet on it, I'd bet on Fedor.

Fedor would take this fight again, he is the smartest fighter in MMA, he always has incredible game plans, is able to execute them and modify them during the fight better than anyone else in MMA by far.

No one fights as a more aggressive pace than Fedor but it is such a controlled aggressiveness that he just let's it out as needed, Cro Cop would not be able to keep up with Fedor as was the case last fight and once Fedor take the fight to the ground, he would wear Cro Cop down once again.

I would predict another UD for Fedor and for him to inflict more damage on Cro Cop in the rematch.
