IMO, no! Even though I think Penn is technically better, I think hughes is the tougher fighter and can whether the storm until Penn gasses. Just MO, I do hope than Penn would win though.

it would be a 3 round fight, so Penn by Decision or sub.

Yes besides the Gsp fight...He and no carido trouble when he fought Renzo or Gomi or any other match.....Penn with the Win....TKO 2nd round......This fight puts Matt into retirement

Yall are right, but I just find it hard to buy the whole rib injury thing. Hell, Hughes vs Penn 3 should be the next match for #1 contender, if hughes gets past his next opponent.

I believe it cuz of the way he gassed, he was not strugging at all during round 2 up until he tried to take Matts back, and he came out in round 3 waaaay tooo gassed.. he wasnt slowing down prior to that, he wasnt showing any signs of getting tired, he went from good shape to bad shape like that so I believe the injury, and plus he showed everyone the doctors note.
and honestly, Penn wouldnt go out and get a fake doctors note for this fight.. I mean he gave Hughes all the credit in the world in the interviews saying he won fair and square so why would he say that and go out an get a fake doctors note? he did injure his ribs.
