| AA. vs. Werdum
hasnt really sunk in that this fight was going to happen until recently, this is a huge fight as far as not just top hw's but close ranked fighters, aa is good on the ground but werdum takes it on the ground, werdum is good standing but id give it to aa there, who wins this fight. should be great both very good standing and on the ground. a very interesting hw fight.

I will be pulling for AA but if this goes to the ground like I think it will I think even Arlovski's Sambo will not be enough to stop Werdum's bjj. I am in now way counting AA out though, he could surprise everyone and end this standing, he has great boxing and is a powerful striker.

AA's sambo has never meant much to me. i've never seen him do anything worthwhile with it, especially when he's gonna be fighting a guy who Minotauro once said has the best BJJ in MMA.
on one hand, you have AA, who is known for grabbing a straight ankle on a half-retarded Tim Sylvia, and an armbar in one of his first UFC fights against a can, that he got by using the fence, are not huge accomplishments. yeah AA won the jr. sambo championships, but that was like 8 years ago.
when this hits the mat, unless AA has been doing a lot of grappling, AA is going to get schooled something nasty, and lose either the round by being outmaneuvered, or get tapped.

its odd, i like werdum more and its his debut on spike. But im cheering for AA. I have no idea why. IMO werdum is too good on the ground for AA but andrei can knock him out if they stand too long.
Werdum by 3rd round sub
