Also when the man beat Ali, Ali was etremley out of shape and was quite aged at that point, not to mention it was a 15 round decision. After SPinks won the title he basically gave it up the following year to Ken Norton who at that time was challenging Spinks. The boxing organization, i believe it was the WBC stripped him of the belt for refusing to fight him (which was a fight he would of lost sorely). Tyson on the other hand was a Dominant Heavyweight who never turned down a fight, fought the best he could get and had a stellar record. Spink's record was nothing to talk about. He was like 26 or 27 and 18 or something like that. So thats the bottom line.

BTW, that Ali fight was avenged.

BTW, that Ali fight was avenged. | I know it was avenged. That was in New Orleans and it was also a 15 round decision. I know a thing or two or three about boxing. January or Feb of 78 i think

Ali lost primarily because he badly underestimated Leon Spinks, who was going into that fight with only 7 fights under his belt. I believe he got a title fight primarily because he had an Olympic gold medal, similar to Pete Radamacher challenging Floyd Patterson for the world championship in his very first pro fight back. In the rematch, Ali came in focused and prepared, and even in his older age, he schooled Spinks. It's a shame Spinks didn't want to fight Norton, it robbed Ken of his absolute best chance to become world champion (they gave him the WBC title, but everyone considered it a paper title, as the true champion was in fact Spinks, holding the WBA title.)
Yeah, Tyson KOs Spinks as fast as he did his brother, who was the better of the two anyway, and one of the great light heavyweight champions of all time.

Tyson wins this. Tyson in his prime was a very hard fighter to beat. IMO there are maybe a handful of guys that could beat tyson in his prime.
