Right now, Frank should take it handidly. Ken's not fast enough.
Prime vs. prime, Ken powers through Frank's sub attempts and outstrikes him to win a unanimous decision.

Frank is world class striker by MMA standards and has trained with one of the best strikers in the world. Frank is much better than Ken on the ground. Frank is faster, more explosive, and just more athletic. Ken was stronger but he'll need more than that to beat Frank.
Frank by TKO 3rd rd.

Exactly which Ken fights have you seen? He fucked Fujita up standing. That's better standup than Frank ever showed. Ken also dealt with great strikers like Bas and Maurice Smith better than Frank did. Whatever you think of Kimo, Ken (past his prime) showed more KO power in their rematch than Frank has ever shown. Frank was better at subs, but not by that much, and Ken had better ground control. Ken in his prime was about as fast as Frank too.

world class? who the hell has Frank ever knocked out that knew anything about standup
and both in their primes, Ken was about 30 lbs heavier than Frank, benching like 400 lbs and shit. he could wrestle pretty well, and Frank's TD defense is terrible, and Ken had a great leg lock game, and could power through all of Frank's counter sub attempts.
i think Ken would have just run him down on the bell, and started rolling for leglocks

I will disagree with the better ground control statement. Frank is one of the most squirrelly guys I have ever seen on the ground. We are talking some major weight differences here so comparing their fights by either side is not going to do. Its almost like mma math. I believe Ken is not as good of a fighter as Frank skill wise. However for his weight and size he was really quite amazing at what he did do. Ken would probably win on mere size advantage on Frank.

Well, yeah I agree with that. I think he had better ground control BECAUSE of his size. He maintained top position on Royce in the rematch using sheer strength and managed to stop Fujita and Severn's takedown attempts. Frank manages to squirm around on the ground really well, but he was on his back a lot more often than Ken was in his prime.

i think Ken would have just run him down on the bell, and started rolling for leglocks | You are right about the size and weight AJ.... But you gotta stop hating on Franks ground game. He has won most of his fights by sub in an era where there was no LHW or MW in the UFC . I forgot but anyway you get the picture the LHW's and the MW's were in the same category. So some of Franks take down defense was because of his size difference. He did work Horn when Horn was on top of his game.

IMO, Frank in his prime was a much better, more well rounded fighter. I can look at Frank's technique and tell he has great stand up for a MMA guy, and most of his wins were by Sub and honestly, I wouold have a hard time saying Tito wouldn't beat a prime Ken. Sure he's 40 years old but Couture is 43 and kicking ass. You trying to tell me, that in 3 damn trys he couldn't put on a better performance than that?? He can't be that much weaker, the last thing to go is strength and power. IMO he was just never that good, he just had a better ground game than most fighters in the mid to early 90s but today's MMA has surpassed him. BTW, if he was so strong and powerful why the hell couldn't he beat Royce by GNP in that second fight? Royce is only 170 soak and wet and I think were all stronger than him.
Frank has accomplished more, and looked more impressive doing it. I think Frank beats Ken's ass in both their primes.
