| Gabe Gonzaga v.s. Aleksander Emelianenko
Obviously no match for Fedor but, would a hot win off Cro Cop be enough to beat Aleksander?

What makes you say he's no match for Fedor?? I bet you said the same thing about CroCop didn't you?

It isn't that I would immediatly count him out against Fedor, I bet they'd have an interesting go but I don't think he'd make it out of round 2 against Fedor. Also imo Cro Cop wasn't feeling it and was taken by suprirse.. I think Cro Cop/Gonzaga II would be entertaining. Anyways back to the fight I posted, I just can't pick a side in this 1... Gonzaga's a beast but you gotta love Aleksander's hands...

If i had to pick based on the Cro Cop fight i'd pick Gonzaga, hes seems more well rounded, and Aleks isnt exactly Fedor on the ground.

Gonzaga's got the BJJ to take Aleks out Barnett subbed him once he get him to the ground. I think that Gabe would go two rounds with Aleks and then WABAm he would get him down and sub him. Very entertaining fight. There's actually a thread with the debate of Fedor vs. Gabriel. Check it out nice points on both side. But unless Aleks comes in at his best i don't think he has a very good chance. He has a punchers chance and maybe a fw other things going for him but Ganzaggy gets the nod in Wrestling ground game and MAYBE can match him in the stand up and ground and pound game.

Its an interestign matchup I think Gonzaga can sub Alex and that Alex can beat Gonzaga on the feet
I mean ya CC is great with his leg kicks doesnt mean he cant be caught with one, and that doesnt mean Gonzaga can definently catch a guy that was caught with a CC leg kick.. I Think the height advantage plays in favor for Alex, I think his boxing style of striking will help as well I think he can beat Gonzaga on the feet, and Gonzaga can beat him on the ground
im calling even on this fight.

And by the way If it took Fedor three rounds to beat cro-cop (total of 20 minutes) how come it only took Babriel 4:51. That proves your logic a little off kilter. Gabreil has a very good chance against Fedor.

lol, this forum is going to make me hate Gonzaga. The Gonzaga Bandwagon is rediculous... Did this happen when Randleman upset Cro Cop also?
Don't get me wrong, Gonzaga is a good fighter. But what is most likely a lucky win for Gonzaga and a loss of PURE STUPIDITY for Cro Cop, I take it for it is worth. The only worth while fighter I see on his list is Werdum, and Gonzaga lost. If he beats Couture.. no screw that.. if he gives Couture a run for his money (he doesn't have to win), then I will start giving Gonzaga well deserved credit. Randleman made Cro Cop look like nothing also, but we all know it was a upset. Gonzaga has to fight more top fighters before we can really judge him. Well, that was a nice rant
P.S. I go with Mini Emelianenko on this one.
