Cage Rage is usually one of the better smaller shows, always having a handful of former UFC and Pride guys on their show.

Vitor "Shaolin" Ribeiro is also competing on this show.

pretty good Cage Rage card, has some UFC and PRIDE vets. I thought Pe De Pano vs Severn was supposed to be on there too? Must of got cancelled, which isn't uncommon.

This should be a real good fight. I am a fan of both guys but if I had to pick one I would say that I want Ninja to get the win.

Oh God....I really hope Murilo Ninja can win this won or at least get a draw or lose by decision. For his own sake.

Ninja used to be a great fighter back in the day but as of recent he has been struggling. I really want to see him back in PRIDE.

Murilo Ninja Vs. Mark Weir Signed For Cage Rage

The Cage Rage promotion has announced that Pride veteran Murilo "Ninja" Rua will face Pride and UFC veteran Mark Weir at Cage Rage 18. The event will take place on September 30th at Wembley Arena in London, England, and it will mark Ninja's European debut.

Even with 13 Pride fights under his belt, Ninja is still only 26 years old. The 38-year-old Weir made his UFC debut at the age of 35 against Eugene Jackson back in 2002. Weir knocked out Jackson in just ten seconds, but he would go on to lose his next two UFC fights to Phillip Miller and David Loiseau.

One thing that Ninja and Weir have in common is that each of them recently lost to Denis Kang in Pride, as Weir lost to Kang in April of this year and Ninja lost to Kang in June of this year.

Ninja's fight in Cage Rage does not mean that he is done with Pride, as the Cage Rage announcement of Ninja vs. Weir touted that the fight "cements the working relationship the Cage Rage Championships have with Pride FC."

Other fights that have been announced for Cage Rage's September 30th event include Vitor "Shaolin" Ribeiro vs. Abdul Mohamed, Mark Epstein vs. Ian Freeman, Tony Fryklund vs. Alex Reid, Rob Broughton vs. Robert Berry, Paul Daley vs. Sol Gilbert, Brad Pickett vs. Robbie Olivier, Mustapha al Turk vs. Henry "Sentoryu" Miller, Alexandru Lungo vs. Dave Legeno, and Zelg Galesic vs. James E-Nicolle.
