I think Velasquez might have an edge in technical boxing, but Carwin has shown he has tremendous power with very short punches. As wrestlers, I haven't really seen anyone challenge either of them in grappling, Carwin got up real fast while eating some GnP from Gonzaga, and he showed he's good at passing guard with his previous opponents. I think it would be a really interesting fight, and my guess is it would go to the guy with better cardio as long as Velasquez could deal with Carwin's size and strength.

Close fight. I need to see more of both especially Cain with some better competition.

Honestly, I could see Cain winning up until he ate a good shot by Carwin.

Carwin has shown that he can be rocked, but I don't think Cain is stronger than Gonzaga.

Still, it would probably be an entertaining match.

    Cain all the way.

    Cain via 1st round KO

his striking is really good technically, better than Carwins imo

both guys have good power, but I'm thinking it would be easier for Cain to hit Carwin than Vice-Versa

The only reason Carwin KO'd Gonzaga is because Gabe left his chin way out and stared swinging wildly, Cain is alot smarter than that...

I would have to go with Carwin this fight as well for the same reasons. GG couldn't hold Carwin down and I don't think even got out of his half guard. I am unsure if a guy like Cain could do what GG couldn't do. I say this is second round tap by Cain from strikes on the ground. We shall see, this is a damn good fight!
On a side note; I would rather not see these two fight because I would rather see them brought up in the rankings seperately so as to have a couple top contenders when they are ready.

Tough fight to call... it would be close, but I will give it to Cain.
